Robert W. Lobel, M.D., Director
The director of Northeast Urogynecology is Dr. Robert Lobel, the only fellowship-trained urogynecologist
in the Capital District. Dr. Lobel received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College
and his medical degree from Oral Roberts University. He served his residency in Phoenix, Arizona
at Maricopa Medical Center and St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, and completed a two-year
fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Evanston Hospital and Northwestern
University Medical School. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He moved to Albany to found the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at
Albany Medical College and the Center for Continence and Pelvic Support at the Women's Health Center of Albany Med.
Dr. Lobel is active in both national and international professional societies. The recipient of both local and
national awards for his research endeavors, he has written many articles in medical journals and textbooks,
supervises numerous research projects, and has a national and international reputation within his subspecialty.
Dr. Lobel directs a fellowship training program at the Northeast Urogynecology, which currently has one board-eligible
gynecologist enrolled in a three-year training program. Dr. Lobel supervises both the overall care given at
Northeast Urogynecology and also the many research opportunities available to patients through practice.
Married and a father of five, Dr. Lobel enjoys spending time with his family,
reading, hiking, skiing, playing basketball and playing strategy board games.
Ahsen Chaudhry, M.D., Fellow
Dr. Chaudhry is a fellow at Northeast Urogynecology.
He completed his medical degree at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
He did his post-doctoral research fellowship in reproductive sciences at the University of Kansas Medical Center,
Kansas City, Kansas. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Upstate Medical University
in Syracuse, New York.
Dr. Chaudhry is active in both national and international professional societies.
His research continues to be presented at prestigious professional society conferences.
Mid-Level Practitioners
Jeanne Ann Dahl, RNC, WHNP
Jeanne Ann Dahl is a Nurse Practitioner at Northeast Urogynecology.
She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Russell Sage College, Troy, NY.
Jeanne Ann completed the Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Downstate Medical Center,
State University of NY, Brooklyn. She is certified as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner by the
National Certification Corporation.
After practicing for sixteen years as a Nurse Practitioner in Obstetrics and Gynecology,
Jeanne Ann joined Northeast Urogynecology in 2002. She currently provides comprehensive
urogynecologic care including treatment of urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse,
painful bladder disorders, and voiding dysfunction. She has developed and implemented a pelvic
floor rehabilitation program that includes biofeedback and electrical stimulation therapy. She also
performs urodynamics testing and is involved in patient education and urogynecology research.
Jeanne Ann is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates,
and the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State. She is currently serving as a distinguished
faculty member for CSUIWH, Collaborative to Support Urinary Incontinence and Women's Health.
Jeanne Ann is a mother of three. She is a catechist for her local parish and a parent volunteer for her children's
crew and swim clubs. Jeanne Ann enjoys water sports, reading, cooking, and gardening.
